May 8, 2025 — The ROMA Foundation is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative titled the Children’s Education and Care Allowance Program, designed to support underprivileged but meritorious students across Bangladesh. This program aims to ensure that no talented student’s education is interrupted due to financial hardship.
At the launch event, financial assistance was awarded to 18 deserving students from various regions of the country. Among them, 12 students from Dhamuhat Upazila in Naogaon District were recognized for their academic potential and need. Under the program, each selected student is eligible to receive up to BDT 2,500 to support their studies up to the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) level.
The core objective of this initiative is to prevent school dropouts caused by poverty and to empower promising students to pursue their academic aspirations without financial constraints.
The program was officially inaugurated by Ms. Roselin Mitu Corraya, Vice Chairperson of the ROMA Foundation, who reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to educational equity and the upliftment of marginalized communities.
“We believe that talent should never be held back by poverty. Through this program, ROMA Foundation is investing in the future of Bangladesh by supporting students who have the potential to achieve great things,” said Ms. Corraya during the inauguration ceremony.”
